Academic Records

There will be a one-time release of grades and other identifying information for all students in Grade 12, using secure transmission technology to the Ontario University Application Centre and the Ontario College Application Service in support and in anticipation of all post secondary applications. If you would like more information about this, please contact your assigned guidance counsellor.

Pathway Planning

There are lots of options. Do what is right for you:

Our paths can change direction, seem uncertain at times or be indirect...but we all get to where we are supposed to be. Plan your pathway with insight to your skills, reality as to where you are in life right now, financial considerations, short vs long term goals and confidence in yourself to be your own person.

 


 

 

You will create your own OUAC account using your Ontario Education Number (OEN), a nine-digit unique identification number assigned to you which will be sent to your GAPPS email by Secure Electronic File Transfer.

Deadline to apply to University for equal consideration January 15, 2025 

Fee to apply : $156

  • Apply to a maximum of 3 programs,
  • $50 for each additional program

Common Requirements:

For Degree Programs at Ontario Colleges and Ontario Universities

  • ENG4U
  • 5 other grade 12U or 12M courses. Note: some competitive programs will accept a limited number of 12M courses

It is your responsibility as a student to research the minimum mark and prerequisite requirements for each program you apply to. We are here to help with research and understanding the requirements.

Ontario College Application Service

Deadline to apply to College for equal consideration February 1, 2025

Fee to apply : $125 

Apply to maximum of 5 programs

Common Requirements:

For Degree Programs at Ontario Colleges 

  • ENG4U
  • 5 other grade 12U or 12M courses. Note: some competitive programs will accept a limited number of 12M courses

For Diploma Programs at Ontario Colleges

  • ENG4C or ENG4U
  • At least 3 other senior C, M, or U courses

If you are interested in a career in the skilled trades, apply to Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) through Co-op to gain hours and skills towards an apprenticeship.

Scholarships

A scholarship is a non-repayable sum of money awarded to a student to help finance post-secondary education. These funds are used for post- secondary education purposes: tuition, books and/or residence.

  • Maintaining High Marks = Renewable Scholarships
  • You may apply for and be granted an unlimited number of scholarships. Some restrictions may apply – see scholarship granting body for details.

Before you apply:

  1. Plan Ahead. Check scholarship timeline and do your research.
  2. Prepare resume and order transcripts.
  3. Request a letter of recommendation from teachers and/or community members – at least 2 weeks before submission of the rough draft.
  4. Make a Guidance appointment with your guidance counselor (for nomination scholarships) to review your progress. Be sure to bring your resume, rough drafts, and letters of recommendation. Leave plenty of time
    before the scholarship/award deadline.
  5. Know everything there is to know about the scholarship (expectations, requirements, eligibility, deadline for applications).

When applying:

  • Fill in all sections of the application unless not applicable.
  • Always tell the truth.
  • Do not use AI tools
  • Use standard 11 pt font for essays and resumes.
  • Ensure the application is proofread.
  • Provide a copy of the application to your guidance counselor.
  • Use your personal email when applying for Scholarships
