June exams for the 2025-2026 school year conclude on Tuesday, June 23rd and exam review day, a half day in the morning, takes place on Wednesday, June 24th. We want to congratulate all of our graduating students. Grad takes place on Wednesday, June 24th at Woodbridge College in the evening.

National Junior Weightlifting Championships

At Vaughan Public Libraries, the learning continues all summer long with our Empower YOUth program lineup.
Designed for students aged 11–18, these innovative programs aim to build self-confidence, strengthen resilience, and
develop leadership skills.
We are also excited to relaunch our Bookmark Design Competition for aspiring teen artists and book enthusiasts!

Black Youth Mental Wellness and Empowerment Series - R.I.S.E. Program:
Resilience, Identity, Strength and Empowerment.
The Newmarket African Caribbean Canadian Association (NACCA) is delivering an eight weeks Africentric mental wellness workshop series for Black youth up to grade 12, who reside in York Region. The program will be delivered online. All sessions will be supported by a mental health clinician. Please see this link for more information and registration.
York Regional Police Festival - Rise of Road Tennis
Join us at the York Regional Police Community Safety Village in Whitchurch-Stouffville to learn about the game of road tennis and participate in the sport firsthand. Bring your family and friends to learn how to play a sport that originated in Barbados. A mix between the sports of tennis, table tennis, and pickleball, this sport will get you moving. This event will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

York Region Summer Programs 2026
York Region offers subsidies for recreation programs, day camps, and youth overnight camps. Recreation programs and day camp subsidies provide children from families with low income the ability to take part in programs offered by the municipal recreation departments. The youth overnight camp funding helps eligible youth ages 12 to 17 attend an approved overnight camp.
Available Subsidies for:
- Positive Leisure Activities for Youth (PLAY)
- Summer day camp funding
- Youth overnight camp funding

York Region Volleyball Summer Programming
Our Board is hosting numerous Summer Volleyball programs around the York Region area for students from Grades 3-11 who are interested in learning and improving their volleyball skills. Please see the flyers below for more information.
ILIL Registration for 2026-2027 and Summer 2026 Programs
The purpose of this memo is to provide important information regarding registration for the Indigenous Languages and International Languages (ILIL) 2026-2027 program year.
Online registration for our elementary classes opened on April 20, 2026, and secondary ILIL credit course selection will open in June 2026. We are requesting your assistance in promoting our programs with your school communities.
Courses for Grade 9 to 12 students are delivered remotely once a week for approximately 3.7 hours, across 28 to 30 sessions typically held from September to June. Teachers will lead live language lessons in real-time through Google Classroom, providing both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities during regularly scheduled language classes. Please note that language course offerings may vary based on enrollment.

Timetables for 2026-2027
Please note that timetables will be visible to students in Teach Assist, one week prior to the first day of school. Students that had a conflict with their timetable were notified via email and offered an opportunity to meet during exams. Students who have received an email have been put on a waitlist and they do not need to fill in a course request form in September.

Summer School Reminders:

They will also need to connect with their guidance counsellor in the Fall in case the withdrawal impacts their timetable.

Please note that you must have accepted an offer to a postsecondary institution to begin your OSAP application.
Since college tuition fees are typically due in mid-June, all students intending to attend college next year should be applying for OSAP in early May. This ensures that you will only need to pay the tuition deposit by the June deadline and not the full amount.
Students intending to attend a university next year should complete their OSAP application no later than the first week of June as applications can take up to 10 weeks to process.
Before you can apply online for OSAP assistance and/or the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant, you must register as a new user to the OSAP website. When you register, you will be asked to provide basic personal information for your personal profile on your OSAP account. This information includes your name, date of birth, gender, contact information, Social Insurance Number (SIN) and other identification numbers (e.g., your Ontario Education Number (OEN), if you have them.
Once you provide the necessary information, your OSAP Access Number (OAN) will be generated. Your OAN will be your user identification for the OSAP website. You will use your OAN, along with the password that you created, each time you access the OSAP website. This will include accessing the OSAP website for activities related to the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant.
To start your registration process, read the terms and conditions set out in this OSAP New User Registration Agreement. You will be asked to indicate that you have read and agree to all of the terms and conditions.

Vaughan Public Library
Vaughan Public Libraries occasionally offers volunteer opportunities to those looking to help others in their community. Volunteers must have completed grade 8 and be a minimum of 14 years of age to apply. Volunteers must successfully complete an interview. Any volunteer that is 18 years of age or older is required to obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC).

Earth Rangers
Inspiring the next generation of conservationists.
Earth Rangers is the charity that transforms children’s concerns about the environment into positive action. Earth Rangers is an environmental non-profit charity organization with teen volunteering opportunities.
The ER Teens program is open to youth ages 13-18 and offers flexible, real-world ways to take environmental action. Participants complete hands-on projects at home, at school, or within their community, building leadership skills while making a positive local impact.

Woodbridge College’s Cooperative Education Program extends heartfelt appreciation to our community partners for their exceptional support, guidance, and mentorship throughout the semester. Their dedication to student growth has played a key role in shaping the personal and professional development of our co‑op students.
Through these partnerships, students gained meaningful industry experience, strengthened their understanding of essential tools and terminology, and built the confidence needed to refine their skills. By opening their workplaces and providing real-world learning opportunities, our partners helped students bridge classroom knowledge with hands-on application.
