Level Up Skilled Trades Career Fair

On Wednesday, November 26, students from our Grade 10 Technological Design and Communication Technology classes, as well as our Grade 12 Advanced Learning Strategies: Skills for Success After Secondary School program, attended the Level Up Skilled Trades Career Fair. This event provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore future career pathways in the skilled trades.

During the fair, students connected with skilled trades professionals, employers, apprentices, and instructors who shared real-world insights and personal journeys. They engaged in hands-on learning through interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and the chance to work with tools and machinery. Industry experts, businesses, associations, and post-secondary institutions offered mentorship and guidance, while Skilled Trades Ontario provided resources to help

students exploapprenticeship opportunities and plan their career paths.

This experience opened doors to exciting possibilities, inspiring many students to consider the skilled trades as a rewarding and dynamic career choice.

If you are interested in pursuing a career in the skilled trades and technologies, please visit the Cooperative Education Department in the Library Learning Commons or book an appointment with your guidance counselor for more information.
