A culture of opportunity
Originally opened in 1958 as Woodbridge High School, Woodbridge College gained its current name in 1991 and has seen many variations of programming throughout the years.
Woodbridge College is a welcoming, community-focused secondary school where students are known, supported, and encouraged to succeed. With a tight-knit student population of about 700, we offer the unique advantages of a smaller school—strong individual relationships, personalized academic support, and a true sense of belonging—while still providing a wide, dynamic range of future-facing opportunities.

Vibrant student life
At Woodbridge College, student life is active, inclusive and directly shaped by student voice, offering every individual a place to belong, create and lead. Students can choose from a vast array of activities, clubs and councils that include student government, environmental groups, arts clubs, science and technology, and support the various identities of our students through multicultural associations and affinity groups.
Consistent with our small but mighty ethos, our athletic program rivals much larger schools, featuring a multitude of competitive sports teams, many of whom have represented the York Region District School Board at the Provincial Championships, OFSSA, including our varsity football team.
We also believe in elevating our school spaces by bringing community partnerships directly to our students. The after-school Thrive basketball program is one such example that uses the power of sport to intentionally develop vital leadership and life skills while ensuring that every student has the opportunity to be active, engaged, and supported within our school.

Transitioning to Secondary School
We are here to support students in their transition to Grade 9 and throughout their high school years. We take extra care to ensure Grade 9 students feel welcomed, prepared and supported. This includes:
