Student Success

The primary goal of Student Success is to ensure that each student has the learning opportunities and supports they need to be successful in school and beyond.

With a focus on student engagement, Student Success provides new and relevant learning opportunities that build on students' interests, strengths as well as their learning needs. By focusing on knowing each learner and providing differentiated learning opportunities and programming, teachers ensure that all students acquire the social, emotional and academic learning skills they need to succeed as they transition from elementary to secondary school and beyond.

Areas of Focus

  • Transition Support: The SST supports the transition process for students moving between panels, schools, and classrooms.
  • Student Advocacy: The SST supports the transition process for students moving between panels, schools, and classrooms.
  • Direct Instruction: The SST provides student instruction and other interventions for students in risk.
  • Monitoring of Students: The SST engages in ongoing monitoring of students including identifying and tracking students in risk.

Students are welcome to use the Student Success Resource Support Room 111 as a place to study, complete homework and assignments, work on the computer and receive academic assistance.

Hours of Support in Rm 120 are:Periods 1, 2, and 3

  • Support with course selection
  • Credit recovery/credit salvaging
