Where art meets science.
Technology is where ideas become real. Students design buildings, build and program robots, and bring their designs to life with 3D printers. In Communications Technology, they shoot video, record audio, create graphic designs and produce TV. Starting in Grade 9, students can follow their interests all the way to Grade 12, building skills for careers in design, media and engineering.
At WC we offer:
- Grade 9 integrated tech (TEJ1O1), which consists of Communications Technology, Tech Design, introduction to Computer Engineering and Introduction to Lego robots.
- Grade 10 courses: Communications Technology TGJ2O (video, audio and graphic design) and Technological Design TDJ2O (introduction to architectural design and robotics), both courses are open.
- Grade 11 courses: Communications Technology TGJ3O (audio, video and graphic design open course) and Technological Design TDJ3M (university/college) where we continue architectural design, 3D printing and robotics.
- Grade 12 courses: of Communications Technology TGJ4O where we further our studies in audio, video, graphic design and TV production. No prerequisite required for open courses. Technological Design TDJ4M requires the TDJ3M prerequisite and advances further knowledge in 3D design, CAD/CAM applications and robotics.
